A low-key but vital neighborhood fixture since the dawn of the ’80s, looking, if not run-down, appropriately weathered, Brandy’s is a real-life version of Cheers with zero pretensions or attitude. It’s not the first place you’d look for a piano bar in Manhattan, but here we are.
It’s another Sunday night at Brandy’s, my favorite bar in the universe, over on relatively quiet 84th Street on the Upper East Side.
